Sona Wild Rift Guide, Build and Strategy

Sona is a support champion who excels at buffing her teammates and controlling her lane. Her three main abilities have an active effect as well as a passive aura.

How to Play Sona

• You can use the enhanced basic attack from Power Chord to harass enemies
• Poke enemies with Hymn of Valor
• Use Aria of Perseverance to heal allies and yourself
• Use Song of Celerity to boost your movement speed while chasing or escaping from enemies
• You can use Crescendo to lock enemies and helping your temmates take them down
• Hitting multiple enemy champions with Crescendo can be the ultimate game changer in every match
• Sona is very squishy and doesn’t have any dash skill so be wary of your positioning

Skills

Passive / Power Chord: After casting three basic abilities, her next attack is empowered to deal an additional magic damage with a bonus effect based on the last ability cast.

Hymn of Valor Staccato: Bonus damage increased to magic damage.

Aria of Perseverance-Diminuendo: Reduces damage dealt by the target by 25% for 3 seconds.

Song of Celerity-Tempo: Slows by 40% for 2 seconds.

Skill 1 / Hymn of Valor: Deals magic damage to two nearest enemies. Aura: Enhances allied champions’ next attack to deal an additional magic damage.

Skill 2 / Aria of Perseverance: Heals herself and another allied champion. Aura: Grant allied champions a shield that absorbs damage for 3 seconds.

Skill 3 / Song of Celerity: Gains 10% movement speed for 5 seconds. Aura: Grants allied champions 10% movement speed.

Skill 4 / Crescendo: Passive: Reduces the base cooldown of Sona’s basic abilities by 10%. Active: Plays an irresistible chord, dealing magic damage and stunning for 1 second.

Runes

• Aery – Your attacks and abilities send Aery to a target, damaging enemies or shielding allies.
• Weakness – Impairing the movement of enemy champions makes them take 5% more damage in the following 5 seconds.
• Loyalty – You gain 2 AR and 5 MR. Your closest ally champion gains 5 AR and 2 MR.
• Manaflow Band – Hitting an enemy champion with an ability or empowered attack permanently increases your max mana by 30, up to 300 mana.
