Harvest Town Beginners Guide

Harvest Town is a farming simulation game on early access that has similarities from the OG Harvest Moon and the amazing Stardew Valley.

The game almost has the same features as the two games I’ve mentioned before such as:

  • Farming
  • Raising farm animals
  • Cave Adventure
  • Hunting Monsters
  • Interacting with NPC’s with different personalities
  • Online racing, Market, and a lot more interactive features
  • Four seasons

In Harvest town, you can customize your town. It is also an online game where you choose a server to play.  As of writing, Harvest Town is in beta test globally. But don’t worry because they will not delete your record after the beta test.

Guide

You need to create your character first. Remember that this is an online game so you need to think of a unique name for your character.

You will start off in a small town with different NPC’s, Shops, and facilities where you can interact. Your manor will be dirty as hell when you start.

Basics

Planting a seed

Select seed and tap the tool button to seed.

To Water a Plant

Select pot and tap the tool button.

To Harvest Crops

Go near your crops and click the empty hand button.

Making money

Every few moments, the delivery van will arrive with an order that you need to comply with. After completing the order, tap the order truck and claim your reward.

Map

To access this, click the map button on the upper left of the screen. Visible on the map are the buildings and your actual house. Those  different buildings also have their own different inhabitant NPC where you can interact too.

Tip: You can actually click on a location in the map and your character will automatically go there as long as there is no obstruction within the pathway.

Entrustment Quests

These are quests that  you can do to get rewards. These can also help you progress through the game.

Daily Tasks

These are simple tasks such as logging in, sending gifts to friends, citizens. You’ll also get rewards by doing this.

Daily Gift

You get gifts every time you log in for consecutive days.

Chests

This is where your tools, items, and crops can be found. You can tap the tool on the chest to transfer it into your bag.

Using tools

Just tap the tools and use the tap tool button and it will automatically do the action.

Upgrading Tools

Upgrading equipment is an essential part of the game. At the start, you’ll only have tier 1 tools that are very limited when it comes to functions. To upgrade, just interact with the NPC in the Smithy Building and click upgrade.

Bag

This is where you can find your tools, crips. and other items. The Crafting, Skills, Social, Manual. and Achievement menu can also be found here.

  • Crafting – Create items from the materials that you have.
  • Skill – This is where you can track your level for each skill such as farming, mining, battling, cooking, and a lot more.
  • Social – This is where you can see your relationship status with other NPC’s.
  • Manual – A manual of all materials, products, seafood, antiquity, cuisine, monster, ornament, and equips that are available within the game.
  • Achievement – This is where you can track your achievements.

Leveling Up

You can also level up in this game. Leveling up means you’ll be able to unlock more features.

World

To see other players’ achievements, you can click the world button in the upper left. In this menu, you can see a list of players ranked according to different categories such as achievement points, like, and level. This is also where you can find your friends list and requests.

Notes:

  • Ranking will be refreshed every 1 hour and weekly ranking by Monday.
  • Max capacity of friends is 50.
  • You can visit players in their manors and you can open boxes to obtain rare herbs.
  • You can give 10 gifts every day.
  • You can receive 20 gifts every day.

Help

If you feel like you’re lost in the game, just check the Guide in Settings. This is where you can also save the game progress. You must save your game before you quit.

First Impressions

This game has a lot of potential and I will stick to it until the Open beta. The only downside that I’ve noticed within the game is the long loading time between menus. I don’t know if it is my phone or internet connection acting up but I hope it will be ok soon.

That’s all you need to know from the start. I will also create guides regarding other features soon. Have you played the game? Share your thoughts below!
