How to Fix Nintendo eShop is Not Currently Available in Your Country

I’ve just bought a Switch last month and I thought of creating an article about an issue that I think many are encountering right now especially if you are a new Nintendo Switch owner in a country like the Philippines.

This was the error that I encountered:

“Nintendo eShop is not currently available in your country. Thank you for your interest in Nintendo eShop.”

I have tried a solution from gamingph.com but unfortunately it didn’t worked for me. The article is from 2017 and I think they haven’t got the chance to update it.

Fortunately, I have found a quick and easy solution to this problem and I was able to access the Nintendo eShop afterwards.

How to Fix Nintendo eShop Issue

1. Go to accounts.nintendo.com and log in your Nintendo Account

2. Change your current Region in to United States and then Save it

3. Open your Nintendo eShop

After changing your region, you can now open your Nintendo eShop. But before you do that, it will ask you to type in again your password. It is crucial that you are asked to so as it is an indication that you’ve successfully completed the process.

After doing the steps, you can now access the eShop and at the same time purchase / download games to your hearts delight.

In conclusion, changing your region through your Nintendo Switch won’t work and it has to be changed on the Nintendo website. If you have question or clarifications then you can share them below and I will try to respond as soon as possible.
