How to Change Name in Wild Rift

Wondering if you can change your IGN in League of Legends: Wild Rift? The answer is yes you can. Just follow these 4 simple steps then you can bid goodbye to your old in game name.

As you can see below, I currently have a level 6 account named after my website. I realized that I don’t want to use it for gaming as I don’t want people knowing that the webmaster of this site is basically a noob and can only play support. Kidding aside, I decided to change my name to something that I’ve used in every online game at present.

Note: You can do these steps on any browsers including mobile phones. This is also for android users only and I don’t know if this would work with iOS users.

How to Change your In Game Name in Wild Rift

STEP 1

Go to account.riotgames.com and click the Google Icon. After that they will ask you to login with your gmail account that you are currently using in playing Wild Rift.

STEP 2

You will be asked to complete your account by entering your birthday details. Click the arrow to update and continue.

STEP 3

You will now be redirected to this window. Click the ‘RIOT ID’ menu to change your riot id. After that click submit.

After your submission, your Riot ID will be changed. You can only do this process again in 30 days so make sure you’ve entered your name right.

STEP 4

Open your Wild Rift App to see that your in game name has been changed.
