Wild Rift Patch 1.1

Wild Rift rolls out Patch 1.1 bringing in server expansions, new champions, skins, mana adjustments and a lot more.

You will be able to play 3 new champions in the name of Darius, Draven and Wukong with the first two receiving skins but more will be released throughout the patch.

Beside those new champions, they also made significant changes to game systems as they have replaced Cooldown reduction with Ability haste, similar to League of Legends on PC.

I have also no idea how that system works but according to League of Legends Wild Rift:

Conversely, every point of Ability Haste allows you to cast abilities 1% more frequently which means it’s a linear increase in power progression as opposed to CDR’s increasing value per point. Because of this, Ability Haste has no cap which should also allow you to flex your build choices to reflect the needs of the situation more as opposed to planning around a limit. To illustrate the concept a bit more, having 100 Ability Haste means you can cast abilities 100% more frequently (double the amount of casts!), but you’re gonna have to really commit to getting 100.

They have also provided the exact formula to how much Ability Haste equates to Cooldown Reduction and if you’re into math, then you might as well dig in:

CDR = 1 – (1/(1+Ability Haste))

The patch will also affect the early games as they have made mana adjustments as they felt that they are being too generous with that for the majority of champions.

I think this is a good idea as it will make the game more competitive. So basically they have lowered mana regeneration for most heroes and adjusted some of the heroes mana cost for abilities.

In terms of equipment, they have also adjusted items for both tanks and anti-tanks as they felt like they are not much effective in the game. This is good news for tank users as they would be able to go to the frontlines again and take some damage.

The devs didn’t forget our favorite dragons too, as they have received a buff in terms of their abilities to increase their impact within the game.

Lastly for Junglers, they have delayed the initial second charge of smite by 10 seconds. The reason for this is they want to delay junglers as they sometimes reach level 5 before laners.
