Tour of Neverland Guide, Tips and Review

Tour of Neverland is a farming simulator made by Mars Games. You will takeover an Island that your grandfather has left to you and the objective is to run a farm on a tropical island where you will plant and harvest crops, raise livestock, run your own hostel, build farming facilities, customize your farm to your own liking and at the same time visit other player’s farm. You can also catch fish or explore the mines to discover amazing treasures.

First Impressions

The graphics are really commendable. I’ve read some reviews about it being so laggy but so far I never encountered it, so I guess it’s all about your device performance. The game is also newbie-friendly and good for casual gamers.

On the downside, the game is glitchy which I think is normal for a game that is still under development. I had problems at the beginning regarding text bubbles wherein it won’t disappear even though the NPC that I’m talking to is gone already. Some buttons also take time before they actually work. I also hate that you can’t actually skip conversations so you’ll actually have to wait for them to stop talking. Some announcements are also in Chinese characters so there are times when I’m very clueless about what is happening.

But you have to trust me when I say that the game has a lot of potential and I hope they would listen to the reviews made by the players.

Characters

You can choose between a male or a female character. You can also customize your character’s hat, face, and costume. In my case, I decided to go with an unconventional one, A duck hat plus a cow suit. I was surprised that they would let me have that kind of costume early in the game and I realized that you wouldn’t have any other choices later in the game.

Farming

The controls are very easy. Since this is a farming game, I guess it’s obvious that you need to plant and harvest crops and they made that process a lot easier. One thing that I hate about some Farming games is that you need to upgrade tools for you to do planting, harvesting, and watering plants simultaneously. In Tour of Neverland, you have the option to plant, harvest, and water multiple plots(4×4) early in the game.

Your farm is also in a bad shape, not that it is a surprise but it means that you’ll have a lot of cleaning to do. You can clear tall grasses, cut trees and break stones. But unlike farming tools, you need to upgrade your axe and hammer to clear bigger stones and trees.

Don’t forget to water your plants too! Doing so will make it grow faster. Take note that the watering can only be available until you reach a certain quest.

Leveling

The best way to level up in Tour of Neverland is to do all the main quests. These quests can be found on the left side of the screen. You can just tap the quest and it will automatically direct your character to the task.

You also level up by harvesting your crops. Clearing up debris such as grass, trees, and stones will also give you the experience you need to level up.

You also have daily tasks that refresh every day that can earn you the experience required to level up too. (Unlocked as you progress through the game)

Earning a lot of Money

You can earn a lot of money by selling crops. It is achieved by handing over crops to Willbur so he can sell them at the Fresh Market. Growing the same type of crops will also improve its expertise and crops grown with high expertise will fetch a higher price.

Every time you harvest, there is a random chance to harvest giant crops which has higher value compared to normal crop.

You can also do Deliveries which is very simple. All you need to do is prepare your crops and select the order you’d like to ship. Doing deliveries will also increase your affinity to an NPC and will get you some rewards.

Selling fish and doing side quests will also earn you money. Take note that fishing is only available until you reach a certain quest.

Energy

The thing about this game is that the energy that is required for you to do any tasks won’t replenish over time. You need to prepare food from the kitchen and eating the food that you prepare will replenish your energy.

Cooking

As you go along the game, you will receive a quest wherein you need to repair the kitchen. It will require you some gold and materials though. Cooking is very easy, just go to the kitchen and choose a food that you want to prepare as long as you have enough resources.

Unlocking Lands and Structures

Some parts of the Island are not accessible unless you buy them. But the good news for you because you only need coins to purchase them.

Meanwhile, structures are unlocked as you level up and some of them come together with a quest. So if you want to unlock it fast you need to prioritize leveling.

More Rewards

Don’t forget to get your daily log-in and 7-day checkin rewards. You can also claim rewards if you reach a certain level. All of these can be accessed through the event menu.

Inviting your friends to play the game will also get you exclusive rewards.
