Shyvana is a melee fighter who excels at jungling but can also be played in the lane. Her play style revolves around sticking to a target and destroying its health bar. Also, she turns into a dragon. How cool is that?
How to Play Shyvana
- Make sure to have your Fury stacked before entering a battle
- Twin Bite can be used to deal more damage on turrets
- You can use Burnout to chase or escape from enemies as it provide bonus movement speed
- Use Burnout to clear minion and jungle creeps faster
- Use Flame Breath to poke enemies in the lane
- Use Dragon’s Descent to chase enemies
- You can also use Dragon’s Descent as an escape tool but you should limit this
- Dragon’s Descent can let you pass through walls
- With good positioning you can use Dragon Descent to push enemies away from your allies
- Shyvana is one of the fastest jungler because of her clear speed and mobility
Skills
Passive / Fury of the Dragonborn: Deals 20% more damage to Elemental Drakes and Elder Dragons. Killing a Drake or Dragon permanently empowers Shyvana’s abilities while in Dragon Form.
Skill 1 / Twin Bite: Empowers next attack to strike twice, dealing physical damage. Attacks reduce the cooldown of Twin Bite by 0.5 seconds.
Dragon Form: Strikes in a larger area and applies on hits to all enemies.
Skill 2 / Burnout: Deals magic damage per second to nearby enemies and hastes Shyvana by 30%, decaying over 3 seconds. Attacking extends the duration of Burnout 4 second. Dragon Form: Expands the flames, dealing damage in a larger area.
Skill 3 / Flame Breath: Launches a fireball deals magic damage to enemies hit and scorches them for 5 seconds. Shyvana’s attacks on Scorched enemies deal bonus magic damage equal to 3% of their max health. Dragon Form: The fireball explodes on impact, dealing magic damage in an area and leaving a fire for 4 seconds that deals magic damage and Scorches enemies within it.
Skill 4 / Dragon’s Descent: Passive: Generate 1 Fury per second and 2 Fury per attack. At 100 Fury Shyvana can cast Dragon’s Descent. Shyvana remains in Dragon form until she has consumed all of her Fury. Active: Transform into a Dragon, gaining health and flying to a target location. Enemies along Shyvana’s path take magic damage and are knocked towards her landing point.

Runes
- Conqueror – Gain stacks of Adaptive Force when hitting a champion with separate attacks or abilities. When fully stacked, deal bonus adaptive damage to champions.
- Brutal – Gain 7 AD and 2% Armor Penetration, or 14 AP and 2% magic penetration.
- Hunter Titan – Gain 20 max health. Unique champion takedowns grant 20 max health and 4% tenacity.
- Pathfinder – Gain 9 % movement speed in brush, jungle and river when out of control.
