My Defi Pet – How to Create Account and Buy Pets

My Defi Pet is a virtual pet game that combines DeFi and collectibles. It features collecting, breeding, and evolving pets. It also has a battle system and trading.

The main currency in game is DPET Token, which is used for trading, improving and exchanging pets.

As of writing, it is still in beta stage and doesn’t have the play to earn features yet. It is also not stable yet and still undergoing in a lot of maintenance so it is better to do your own research first before investing.

How to Create Account in My Defi Pet

You can login in two ways, either Kardia Chain or BSC (Binance Smart Chain). Most of the users as of now are in BSC Chain so we will be focusing on that. To login in the BSC Chain, you need to setup a metamask account. You can check my other article on how to create your metamask account:

After creating you MetaMask account, go to https://mydefipet.com/ and press play. Then click connect to BSC Chain.

You will now see the in game UI and your available DPET Token will be seen. This token will be used to buy pet eggs.

How to Buy Pets using DPET Token

There are multiple ways on how to get DPET Tokens. One way is through the use of MetaMask, GCASH, coins.ph and Binance. User Exxel on Facebook has made an easy to follow tutorials regarding this.

But on this article, we will be using Metamask, Binance and Pancakeswap.finance.

Setting up MetaMask

After creating your MetaMask, you need to add the BNB Token and Dpet Token. Just like what you can see on the image below. I already have BNB and DPET tokens below but we will tackle on that later.

Make BNB Network visible

To make BNB Network visible, Click ‘Networks and then click Custom.

Enter the details below.

• Network Name: Smart Chain
• New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
• Chain ID: 56
• Currency Symbol: BNB
• Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com/

Then click submit.

You will now see BNB in your assets.

Make DPET Assets Visible

To make DPET assets visible, click ‘Add Token’ below and add The My Defi Pet address:

Buying BNB and DPET Assets

Next thing to do is buy BNB and Swap it to DPET Tokens.

To buy BNB assets, we need to go to Binance App. Make sure that you are verified in the intermediate level and your account already has 2 Factor Authentication.

Next is go to P2P then buy USDT.

After claiming your USDT, go to Wallet and Transfer your USDT from P2P wallet to Spot Wallet.

After Go to Trades > Spot > Buy then choose BNB/USDT. Enter the amount of USDT you want to use then click Buy BNB.

After getting your BNB, go to Wallets, Overview and then Click Withdraw.

Click BNB and then enter your MetaMask Wallet Address then click withdrawal. Binance then will send confirmation codes to both your mobile number and email. Enter that to confirm withdrawal.

Check your MetaMask account to see if the BNB is now well reflected.

Converting BNB to DPET Tokens

After getting BNB, you need to convert it to DPET Tokens for you to be able to buy pets.

Proceed to pancakeswap.finance, then connect to a wallet and connect your metamask account.

After connecting your MetaMask account, Click Trade > Exhance and choose From BNB to DPET Token.

To select the DPET Token Currency, Click Select a Currency and enter the DPET Token Address that can be found on their site:

Choose how many BNB Assets you want to convert to DPET Tokens then click confirm Swap. Make sure not to max out your BNB as you will be needing some of those later for the gas fees when buying pets.

After converting, check if the DPET Tokens are already reflected in your MetaMask Wallet and if yes, you can now proceed to the game and buy your pets.

Buying Pets

After successfully swaping BNB to DPET Tokens, your assets will now be available on your MetaMask Wallet.

You may now go to https://play.mydefipet.com/app/games and Click connect to BSC Chain. You will now be redirected to the game interface.

To buy pets, go to shop and buy eggs. This costs 3 DPET Tokens each. After Buying your pet, the MetaMask extension will appear to confirm your purchase with the corresponding gas fee. Click Confirm.

After successfully buying your Pet, proceed to the incubator to hatch your Egg.

Congratulations, you now have your first pet on My Defi Pet! The pets that you bought can be seen on your inventory.

You can just repeat the process if you want to buy more.
