Master Yi is a mobile assassin / fighter champion capable of dealing heavy nukes, sustained damage per second and is good at ganking and diving into teamfights. He can also wipeout enemy teams with the help of his Ultimate that can be extended whenever the gets a kill.
How to Play Master Yi
- Master Yi is a dominant force in the jungle
- Master Yi is a difficult champion to outduel as he almost always wins 1v1
- Be wary of entering teamfights as Master Yi can be bursted down easily especially when he is CC’d
- You can use Alpha Strike as a gap closer
- You can also use Alpha Strike to dodge incoming attacks as you become untargetable when using it
- Use Meditate to sustain your HP in jungling or in lanes
- Use Highlander to chase or escape from enemies
- Master Yi is immune to slow when he is using Highlander
- The passive of Highlander makes it possible for Master Yi to spam his skills
- Skill Combo: 4th Skill > 1st Skill > 3rd Skill > 2nd Skill (if necessary)
Skills
Passive / Double Strike: Every 4th consecutive attack strikes twice for physical damage.
Skill 1 / Alpha Strike: Becomes untargetable and strikes up to 4 enemies for physical damage. Attack reduce the cooldown of Alpha Strike by 1 second.
Skill 2 / Meditate: Channels for up to 4 seconds, gaining 55% damage reduction and healing for each second.
Skill 3 / Wuju Style: Passive: Gains AD while Wuju Style is off cooldown. Active: Attacks deal bonus true damage for 5 seconds.
Skill 4 / Highlander: Passive: Takedowns reduce Master Yi’s basic ability cooldowns by 70%. Active: Becomes immune to slows, gains 25% movement speed and 30% attack speed for 7 seconds. Takedowns extend the duration by 7 seconds.

Runes
- Conqueror – Gain stacks of Adaptive Force when hitting a champion with separate attacks or abilities. When fully stacked, deal bonus adaptive damage to champions. Stacks up to 5 times.
- Brutal – Gain 7 AD and 2% Armor Penetration, or 14 AP and 2% magic penetration.
- Hunter Titan – Gain 20 max health. Unique champion takedowns grant 20 max health and 4% tenacity.
- Mastermind – Deal 10% bonus damage to epic monsters and 10% bonus damage to turrets. Earn an extra 120 gold upon taking or assisting in taking these objectives.
