Jarvan IV is a tanky DPS champion who excels in rapid movement and singling out his targets. He’s designed to be an initiator, getting into combat quickly and safely while dishing out tons of damage.
How to Play Jarvan IV
- Use Dragon Strike to poke enemies
- You can also Use Dragon Strike to clear minion waves faster
- Use Golden Aegis to absorb incoming damage
- Demacian Standard reveals enemies hiding on bush
- Demacian Standard also reveals a certain location of the map within its duration
- Use Demacian Standard with Dragon Strike to chase or escape from enemies
- You can also use Demacian Standard with Dragon Strike to jump through walls or terrains
- Cataclysm doesn’t only keeps enemies in, but it also keeps enemies out
- Prioritize core champions when using Cataclysm
- Skill Combo: 3rd Skill > 1st Skill > 2nd Skill > 4th Skill
Skills
Passive / Martial Cadence: The first attack against an enemy deals bonus physical damage equal to 8% of their current health. This has an 6 second cooldown per unique enemy.
Skill 1 / Dragon Strike: Extends Jarvan IV’s lance, dealing physical damage and reducing the armor of enemies by 10% for 3 seconds. If the lance contacts a Demacian Standard it will pull jarvan IV to the Demacian Standar’s location, knocking up enemies in his path for 0.75 seconds.
Skill 2 / Golden Aegis: Unleashes a regal aura that slows surrounding enemies by 20% for 2 seconds and grants a shield that absorbs damage for 5 seconds.
Skill 3 / Demacian Standard: Passive: Gains 15% attack speed. Active: Throws a Demacian Standard that deals magic damage and remains in place for 8 seconds, granting nearby ally champions 15% attack speed. Tapping this ability while near a Demacian Standard will cast Dragon Strike towards it.
Skill 4 / Cataclysm: Heroically leaps to an enemy champion, dealing physical damage to nearby and enemies in an arena of impassable terrain around them for 3.5 seconds. Cast again to collapse the terrain.

Runes
- Conqueror – Gain stacks of Adaptive Force when hitting a champion with separate attacks or abilities. When fully stacked, deal bonus adaptive damage to champions. Stacks up to 5 times.
- Brutal – Gain 7 AD and 2% Armor Penetration, or 14 AP and 2% magic penetration.
- Bone Plating – After taking damage from a champion, the next 3 champion abilities or attacks against you within 1.5 seconds deal 30-60 less damage.
- Hunter Genius – Gain 2.5 Ability Haste. Unique Champion takedowns grant 2.5 Ability Haste.
