Account Level in Valorant shows how much time you invested playing the game. The higher amount of time you play the game, the higher your level your account will be. Your Account level is shown in your Player Card and it will immediately tell anyone how experienced the account owner is.
This feature was added in Patch 3.0 to recognize players for their time played but instead of being helpful, the feature was used as a fuel to ignite toxicity as some players will have this prejudgment that low-level players will perform bad and other issues including account levels.
Before, there are no options for players to hide your account Level but due to the feedback of the community on how this feature is becoming toxic, Riot has enabled hiding account level in Valorant.
How to Hide Level in Valorant
- Open the game and go to the ‘Collection’ tab that can be found on the upper right side of the screen
- Go to Player Cards that can be found on the upper left side of the screen
- Go to Level Borders which is located beside Banners
- Below the Banner, ‘Uncheck’ the Show my account level on my player card
- Showing or hiding your account level in Valorant doesn’t effect how you play or matchmaking.
