One of my dilemmas during this pandemic and quarantine season is finding a game that is worth my time.
I know most of us here have already tried Genshin Impact, which is taking the gaming community by storm. I also guarantee that you’ve already spent most of your time playing Dota 2, League of Legends, Mobile Legends, Wild Rift and other esteemed games.
But I know deep in your heart that you want something new, innovative and fresh. Something simple, not over the top, but would make you feel the excitement you experience whenever your play a game like your a child.
And a thought came into my mind, what about Indie?
The thing is, I don’t know where to start. I think the only problem with Indie Games is that they are so many, and finding something worthy of playing will require extensive research.
Thankfully, when I was browsing Playstore, I bumped into this category that I’ve seen for the first time, and that is “Indie Masterpieces”. I am immediately intrigued and didn’t hesitate to try it all. Some of them we’re okay, and most of them exceeded my expectations.
In this article, I will list down some of the best indie games available on Playstore that I personally like and I really think that you should try.
Table of Contents
- Mousebusters
- Summer of Memories
- Swap Swap Panda
- Noa Noa
- Soul of Eden
Mousebusters
Mousebusters is a pixel art horror adventure game and your main goal as mice is to wipeout all ghosts that are residing at the apartment.
The gameplay is very simple but addictive, you need to find ghosts in the room and chase them away. It may sound simple but the thing that really hooked me up in this game are the stories along the way and how they portray the daily lives of each character. In simpler words, it is relatable.
Ads are shown in between stories, but I really don’t mind. It is my way of showing support to the developers. But there is an option to remove it by simpy paying PHP 45 (roughly 1 dollar).
You could also purchase an additional episode for the same price, and the complete package for PHP 75 (roughly 2 dollars).

Summer of Memories
Summer of Memories is a casual narrative game set in the late Showa era in Japan.
You play as Sosuke and you will explore and spend the summer at your Grandmother’s House on the Island.
You can go to the shop to buy food and items you need for exploration. Collect items and meet new people as you go forth in your adventures.
What I love about the game is the art, the BGM and of course the heartwarming story. And if you want a game that would make you smile, I would definitely recommend this game.

Swap Swap Panda
Swap Swap Panda is a platform game wherein you control two pandas by switching and you’ll go into an adventure to take back the cupcakes stolen by the ninjas.
It is a 2D game where the goal is to go to the finish line with both the characters, Chubby giant panda and Funny red panda. The game looks simple, but it isn’t. There are a lot of obstacles and puzzles and it needs a little bit of thinking to get through if.
You need to utilize both character’s abilities and use them in the right situations to pass the stage. The game is very short but I was able to enjoy it despite that.

Noa Noa
Noa Noa is a virtual pet collector where you will find, hatch and raise Noas, which are digital creatures with abilities. You can also explore different locations to find Noa eggs. There are 30 digital creatures you can collect that you can take pictures for you to share.
By raising them, it means cleaning their dump, giving them bath, and feeding them. It also has features such as mini games and actual gym that can improve your pets status.
I feel like playing Tamagotchi after playing it for a few minutes, and you know how addicting that classic handheld digital pet was back in the days.

Soul of Eden
Soul of Eden is a real-time strategy card game that has quick match durations (4 minutes). You can have up to 100 unique cards from 4 different factions, making the game unpredictable and exciting.
Despite the game being repetitive, I can say the game is very addictive and enjoyable. I love how competitive matches in Soul of Eden and will make you queue again for another match.
I’ve been playing this game for quite some time now and I’ve unlocked all decks. You can check it out here: Soul of Eden Deck List
