Axie Infinity 1.1.0A and 1.1.1 Update

Last October 15, 2021, Axie Infinity has released Patch 1.1.0A Update. The new version of the game aims to improve its performance and the return of being able to challenge your friends in a duel. After failing to implement the latest changes on the 1.1.0A Update, Axie Infinity has released the version 1.1.1 Update where they fixed the issues that were causing the problems. Alongside the changes is the improvements to the games performance and the return of friendly duels.

Below is the list of the following changes in this version 1.1.1:

• Axies will reset to level one anytime they change owners.
• Challenges are back where you can now challenge a trainer on your friend’s list to a friendly duel.
• Accounts that are under 800 MMR will no longer receive SLP from adventure, arena, or the daily quest
• Match history for the meantime will not be saved on our servers and can only be accessed from the client device with which you played the match.
• Small update to the Ronin Block Explorer for how some addresses are displayed (Implemented last 1.1.0A)

They’ve also released a new version of the app that you can download to play the latest version of the game.

According to Jihoz, the purpose of this update is to get rid of bots as they take away SLP from and reducing its value for real, hard-working players. They also want to encourage players to learn to become a more competitive player in the arena and for scholarships to focus more on teaching and educating.

He also said that this change will be very healthy long-term for the game and also stated that we also need features like crafting, burning, and dex to balance the economy. Though he understands that this might be stressful to some players who have weaker teams or are elderly/disabled, he reiterated that at the end of the day, Axie is a game and needs to reward those that are best with high rewards.

He also encourages players to watch content from great players on Youtube and believes that all of you can be over 800 MMR if you put in the effort and ask for guidance.

Updates

• As of October 15, only the Axie Level Reset feature is the only gameplay patch that is currently live. While the MMR, match history, daily quest and challenges will be delayed for a few days.
• October 20: They rolled back the game to the previous version because of issues discovered.
• October 28: Released Version 1.1.1 where they have successfully implement the changes with regards to the MMR and Friendly duels
