Aghanim’s Labyrinth: Beginner’s Guide

Rubick’s dad is here, and he comes with a new exciting game mode!

Aghanims Labyrinth is a summer event in Dota 2 available to everyone even to non-battle pass players. It is a dungeon crawler where its main goal is to defeat Aghanim’s minions and the Apex Mage himself.

In this article, I will show you everything you need to know about the basics, rewards that you can get upon completion, lineups, and other things you can do within the game.

How to Play Aghanim’s Labyrinth

Aghanim’s Labyrinth is a co-op game, as you will be teaming up with 3 other players. You can either go solo and queue up with other people or party with your friends. You can choose a difficulty or Ascension Level, providing that you’ve unlocked them all via completing the game. Those levels grant an Aghanim’s chat wheel upon completion.

There are only 12 heroes you can choose from namely:

• Magnus
• Mars
• Omniknight
• Snapfire
• Tusk
• Sniper
• Ursa
• Viper
• Weaver
• Disruptor
• Winter Wyvern
• Witch Doctor
• Queen of Pain
• Slark
• Templar Assassin

During the course of the game, you’ll get Scepter Shards and Arcane Fragments.

Shards are used to augment your abilities in the game.

While Fragments unlocks permanent passive upgrades. You can unlock fragments after the game, so basically you become more powerful as you try and try to finish the game.

You can also buy an item every time you complete a challenge.

After completing a challenge or room, you’ll decide what comes next as you’ll choose a path that you want. Choosing a path means you’re also choosing the next monsters and bosses that you will face.

After defeating Aghanim’s minions and fearsome bosses, you’ll face the Apex Mage Himself. After defeating him then congrats, you’ve just bested Aghanim’s Labyrinth.

Rewards after completing the Game

• You can earn up to 2000 battle points each week by playing Aghanim’s Labyrinth.
• You can also earn Fragments which you can use for permanent passive upgrades.
• Every time you finish an Ascension level you gain an Aghanim’s Wheel Chat.

Aghanim’s Trial

Aghanim’s trial is a weekly event where players compete against each other. You will play on a randomly generated labyrinth and the party that has the highest score will win. For more info, you can visit Dota 2’s official Website.

Aghanim’s Trial Rewards

• Tier 1 Reward – Interdimensional Roshan
• Tier 2 Reward – Waterlogged Shoes (Leaves watery footsteps behind Kunkka)
• Tier 3 Reward – Random Arcana
• Tier 4 Reward – In-game Aghanim’s Effect

Best Lineup

According to reddit, the line-up of Disruptor, Omniknight, Viper, and Winter Wyvern has the highest win rate so far with 17.2%.

As of writing, some people are claiming that there are multiple bugs within the game but I myself haven’t encountered any during my 7 games. But If it’s legit that there are bugs I know for sure that they’ll fix it soon.
