My personal favorite PS1 classic, Legend of Mana, is coming to Nintendo Switch this June 24, the same with Steam and PS4. Legend of Mana is the 4th game in the Mana Series. The game is set in fantasy world where your goal is to restore the Tree of Mana.
One thing I love about this game is the gameplay, as it gives you to power to shape the world’s structure through the Land Make System. It also has a non-linar gameplay system, wherein you can finish quests in a number of different sequences, instead of a strong main plotline. But the reason why I was really in love with this is its hand drawn graphics and soundtracks. It also supports 2 player.
To prove how good it was as a game back then, It sold 400,000 copies in its first week ending in a 700,000 copies sold in 1999.
What’s New with the Legend of Mana Remake?
The remastered game will feature remastered visuals, a rearrange soundtack and and a mini game called Ring Ring Land.
Encounter Switch
You can choose to turn this off enemy counters so you can move through the game without being engaged by enemies.
Soundtrack
In the settings, you can switch between arranged versions or the original version of the OST’s.
Remastered Visuals
The game features remastered HP Graphics.
Ring Ring Land
I’m not exactly sure what this mode does as they didn’t elaborate on it so I’ll let you be the judge with the photo above.
What are your thoughts about the remastered Legend of Mana? As for me, I would definitely buy it as soon as it is released!
