Riven Wild Rift Guide, Build and Strategy

Riven is a melee fighter who specializes in mobility and intricate ability combos. She requires perfect timing, planning and managing cooldowns. She is an aggressive top fighter that can easily burst down squishy champions.

How to Play Riven

• Riven’s abilities can be used in different combos depending on the situation
• Riven is very mobile making her a good gap closer
• You can use Broken Wings and Valor as an escape tool
• Broken Wings can be used to jump and pass through terrains and walls
• Valor can’t let you pass through walls
• You can protect yourself with Valor as it provides you with shield
• Broken Wings and Valor lets you travel around the map easily
• It is advisable to do attacks in between Broken Wings usage
• Use Blade of the Exile before the start of the battle as it lasts 15 seconds
• Wind Slash from Blade of the Exile is better used on low HP champions as it deals more damage

Skills

Passive / Runic Blade: Abilities charge Riven’s blade up to 3 times. Attacks expend charges to deal physical damage.

Skill 1 / Broken Wings: Slash in a direction up to 3 times. Each slash deals physical damage to nearby enemies. The third slash crosses terrain and knocks up nearby enemies for 0.5 seconds.

Skill 2 / Ki Burst: Stun nearby enemies for 0.75 seconds dealing physical damage.

Skill 3 / Valor: Dash in a direction and gain a shield absorbing damage for 1.5 seconds.

Skill 4 / Blade of the Exile: Expand Riven’s blade for 15 seconds, granting 20% attack damage. Increasing the range of her attacks and damaging abilities, and granting a single cast of Wind Slash. Wind Slash: Launches a shockwave, dealing physical damage based upon enemies missing health.

Runes

• Conqueror – Gain stacks of Adaptive Force when hitting a champion with separate attacks or abilities. When fully stacked, deal bonus adaptive damage to champions. Stacks up to 5 times.
• Hunter Vampirism – Gain 2% physical vamp or 2% magic vamp. Unique champion takedowns grant 2 AD with 1% physical vamp or 4 AP with 1% magic vamp.
• Hunter Titan – Gain 20 max health. Unique champion takedowns grant 20 max health and 4% tenacity.
• Sweet Tooth – Increases Honeyfruit healing by 25%. Whenever you or a nearby ally eats a Honeyfruit gain 20 gold.
