Revamped Layla Mobile Legends Build – Beginner’s Guide

Layla is a marksman and one of the OG heroes in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and the one introduced to us during the tutorials. Despite her being easy to use, Layla can be a problem in the late game and is proven to be disastrous to the enemy team when used right.

Disclaimer: I’m just a casual gamer and not a pro. I just want to share with you things that works very well for me when playing this hero.

Skills

Passive / Malefic Gun: Layla’s basic attacks and skills increases with the distance between her and opponents

Skill 1 / Malefic Bomb: Layla fires a malefic energy forward dealing damage to the first enemy. Upon hit, her basic attack will be increase by 3% and movement speed by 60% for 1.2 seconds

Skill 2 / Void Projectile: Layla fires an energy ball that explodes dealing damage to enemies, slowing them and applying magic marks to enemies hit. All enemies with magic mark will receive damage and slows them for 1.2 seconds

Skill 3 / Destruction Rush: Passive: Increases range of Void Projectile and basic attack by 0.6 yards. Active: Layla shoots an energy blast dealing damage to enemies in path.

1ST SKILL > 3RD SKILL (ULTIMATE) > 2ND SKILL

• Bravery – +4 Physical ATK/Level
• Doom – +4.50% Crit. Damage/Level
• Weakness Finder – Basic Attack has 20% chance of slowing target by 90% and lower ATK Speed by 50%. 2s CD. (Ineffective for melee heroes)

Spell for Layla

• Flicker – Layla is not a mobile hero so having an additional option for escape or initiation is good for her. I used this all the time with her personally.
• Retribution – Layla is a scaling hero and this spell will help her farm faster

Other Tips

• This hero is designed for beginners as it is really easy to use
• Prioritize going to the Gold Lane
• Use her 1st and 2nd skill to farm or to poke enemies in the early stages of the game
• Layla has the furthest range of all the marksman so use it as an advantage together with the passive bonus(It increases as you level up)
• Layla on level 8, can hit towers safely outside its range
• Layla is a scaling hero so focus on farming and buying items so she will be effective in the late game
• Despite her high attack damage in the late, Layla is very squishy and can be burst down easily so be wary of your positioning
• Be wary of heroes such as Gusion, Saber, Lancelot and Eudora as they can easily bring Layla down
• Coordination with your teammates is very important since Layla isn’t a mobile hero
• Use your ultimate to finish off enemies on a far distance
• Skill Combo: 2nd Skill > 1st Skill > Basic Attack > 3rd Skill
