Ragnarok Tactics SEA is an idle / tactics game brought to you by Gravity Game Tech.
If you’ve played Ragnarok since 2004, then you’ll definitely feel nostalgic about this game. From the official soundtracks, sound effects, it will feel as if you’re taking a trip down memory lane. But if you’re new to the franchise, I can still assure you that you’ll get hooked up into this idle game!
Gameplay
Here in Ragnarok Tactics SEA, you are basically a summoner of monsters. These monsters you assemble are the ones who will do the battle for you. Like any other idle game, You can go for a while without doing anything and challenge the boss in every part if you feel like you can. You can also level up without even logging in.
Here’s the exciting part. Every mini-boss and the main boss challenge is where the word Tactics takes place.
Before you start your boss match, you can decide the path you’re monster will go to and attack. You can move them like chess pieces and match them up on to the enemy using the rock paper and scissors system.
During the battle itself, you can use monster skills for additional damage!
How to use skills:
Every monster you summon has its own unique set of skills. All you have to do is pick a skill and then drag it into the enemy you want to use it against.
OR, you can just go auto and just sleep for a while. Your monsters will do the job for you. And if you feel like the battle’s going too slow then you can also speed it up. The catch is that you can only do that until you’re level 30 so you just have to be a little more patient.
Very convenient, right?

How to get monsters in Ragnarok Tactics SEA:
Every day of your login, you can go to the hatch lab and get your free egg. You can also use monster tickets to summon a monster.
Don’t worry. You don’t have to wait every day to get your monsters. You can use GP to hatch one.
You can also collect monster shards that you will get from your loots. Collect 30 of those then you’ll get and then you’ll be able to synthesize one.
Just don’t forget to add your newly acquired monster to your lineup! The maximum number of monsters you can send every battle would be 5.
Leveling up your monsters:
Leveling up your monster is very easy. All you need is the right amount of zeny and monster spirits then you can level them up to their level limit. This limit goes high when you evolve monsters.
How can you get zeny and monster spirits? Easy.
You can get those by completing challenges or simply idling. The longer the time you wait, the higher the amount of loot. The highest maximum time is 12 hours.
Evolving your monsters:
Stats are also important in this game. So don’t forget about evolving your monster! All you need is the right amount of Abundant fruit then you can power up your monster. Evolving your monsters will also increase their level limit and stats.
Essence System:
To explain it simply, giving your monsters essence is basically giving them mini-versions of themselves to aid you in battle. It also has its own set of skills and abilities that you can upgrade with the right amount of stars.
How to Equip Essence:
Choose the monster that you want to equip your essence with then go to retinue, then tap the plus sign icon to equip and activate the retinue.
How to Evolve Essence:
You can only evolve your essence providing that you already reach level 12.
Go to the essence icon, then click on the essence that you want to evolve.
How to Get Essence:
You can get essence in the Hatch Lab providing that you have enough Essence of Morroc.
You can also get essence every time you clear a chapter. Collect 30 of it and you can synthesize it and it will be ready for equipping.
Equipment:
You can get equips through loots and from the store. You can also upgrade this equipment provided that you have enough zeny.
Guild System:
The Guild system is available up until level 10. You can create or join one so you can have adventures with your friends. I wanted to try creating one but it will cost you 300 GP and you can’t just join any guild because it requires approval.
Store:
You can unlock the Store at level 11. From there, you can purchase things like Essence Shards, Essence of Morroc, Heart of Morroc, Zeny, Equips, and a lot more. Some items are acquired through in-game purchases.
Daily Quest:
Daily quests are unlocked at level 15. You can get Heart of Morroc which is used in evolving essence by completing these tasks.
These quests are as simple as using Adventure Boost, Leveling up your monster manually, and a lot more.
Geffen Tower:
You can explore Geffen Tower at level 15. Click on the Challenge NPC then click on Geffen Tower. I can compare this feature to Endless tower of the classic Ragnarok game.
Every floor has different stage conditions. You can get a lot of Talent Fruits by finishing each floor.
You are not obliged to go all the way. If you feel like resting, you can still go back to the last level you’ve reached.
Arena:
This mode is unlocked at level 18.
Just click the Arena NPC then choose a player you want to challenge. Each challenge will cost an Arena Ticket. So basically, you can only battle 5 times daily. Remember to set your defense in the Arena so you can protect yourself from challengers.
Beating other players can improve your rank in the arena. The higher you rank, the more GP you get. Obtain Arena rewards at 9 pm daily.

Cats Training:
You can obtain Zeny, Monster Spirits, and Talent Fruit as a reward by doing this challenge. There are 3 types that you can choose from:
Zeny Collector:
Can be unlocked at level 21. You can get a lot of Zeny by doing this challenge.
Spirit Trial:
Can be unlocked at level 31. You can get a lot of Monster Spirits by doing this challenge.
Fruit Garden:
Can be unlocked at level 35. You can get a lot of Abundant Fruit by doing this challenge.
Dojo Challenge:
Can be unlocked at level 27. Obtain Midgard Coins as a reward.
God Beast Strike:
Can be unlocked at level 43. Obtain Faction Egg Shards as a reward.
Summoner Duel:
This mode is unlocked at level 33. I haven’t tried this because I haven’t reached that level yet. There are also features that I haven’t tried yet such as Friend Treasure and Gem System but I promise that I will update this post too once I do.

Friends:
You can also add your friends to join you in your adventure.
3 days into playing, I already got 3 random friend requests. Cool, right?
7-day goal:
Don’t forget to finish also the 7-day goal. Each day you have different tasks you can do to get some items. These are items are:
Summon Ticket – These summon tickets can be used to get monsters at the Hatch Lab.
Lucky Bag – Open to get 5-15 GP and have the probability to get Summon Ticket or Rank SS Egg Shards.
Free Item every certain amount of time.
Always claim your free item at the upper right of the screen every (time varies) minute.
That’s all you need to know right now about the game. It may sound too complex at first but I know that you’ll get the hang of it.
