The journey begins with earning ranked marks, which are awarded for victories in ranked mode games. These marks are the currency of advancement, with each win bringing players closer to the next division or tier. The promotion series is a crucial checkpoint in this journey, a test that players must pass to ascend to a higher rank. This system ensures that progression is earned through consistent performance and improvement. Each step up the ladder is a milestone, marking a player’s growth in understanding and mastering the game.

  1. Iron: The starting point for many, Iron rank is where players get acquainted with the basic mechanics of Wild Rift. Here, the focus is on learning the fundamentals: laning, team fighting, and objective control. It’s a nurturing ground for developing essential skills and understanding the game’s core concepts.
  2. Bronze: In Bronze, players have a basic grasp of game mechanics but often struggle with consistency and strategic application. Low to Mid Tiers

Rankings within these tiers (Emerald and Below) are determined by gems / marks. Every match you win will earn you a mark while no marks are deducted for players below Bronze tier.

Top Tiers

Rankings in these tiers (Diamond and above) are are determined by Victory Points and not by marks. Players in these tiers will slowly lose VP if they do not participate in ranked matches. Rankings for Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger and so on are tabulated daily.

Fortitude

Fortitude is earned while playing ranked matches and the amount you get depends on your performance every match. Each tier has different Fortitude cap. Reaching its maximum will consume its half and give you 1 Mark. So basically if you win a match and the Fortitude is at maximum, you’ll earn 2 Marks.

If you lose a match, half of the maximum fortitude will be consumed to prevent a loss of a Mark. But there is a weekly limit to this feature.

The fortitude system is not applicable in the Top Tiers.

Promotions

After reaching maximum marks in a tier, you will be entering a promotional series for you to be able to advance to the next tier. Winning your promotional series will advance you to the next tier and grant you a tier-loss protection while losing will deduct 2 marks.

2 wins are required to advance from Iron to Bronze while 3 are needed in the higher tiers.

Demotions

You can be demoted to a lower tier if you incur losses and lose enough marks.

Victory Points

As I mentioned earlier, Marks are not applicable to tiers Master and above. Instead of Marks, Victory Points will be used and the amount you earn depends on many factors. You will lose points in these tiers due to inactivity. If you’re in the Diamond tier, you need 100 points to enter a promotional series and to advance to the next tier.

And for Tiers Master and above, you will need to surpass other player’s point to advance to the top.
