Just like any other game, League of Legends: Wild Rift releases patch notes from time to time to give the game a much-needed update. The purpose of these updates is to fix known bugs and at the same time add new features to the game such as changes to heroes, items, etc. to make the game balance.
These patches are mandatory and not optional and you cannot continue to play the game without updating and downloading the new patch. There are two ways to update the game and both of them are very easy to follow.
How to Update your League of Legends: Wild Rift Application
If there is a new patch released by Riot, then you must download it immediately for you to be able to play the game.
Update via Application
If there’s a new update, you just need to open the Wild Rift application and the game will prompt you to download a new version of the game together with its file size. Just click ‘CONFIRM’ to download these said resources. After that, you may now be able to play the current version of the game.
Update via Play Store or App Store
You can also go directly to Play Store (Android) or App Store (iOS) to directly download the patch notes. Take note that if the patch notes have a size exceeding 1 GB then the only way to update the game is through this process.
