How to Surrender in Valorant

I don’t usually give up whenever I play multiplayer games such as Dota 2, League of Legends and even Valorant.

But there are times that you really think and it is very evident that the game is a lost cause and there’s no point in continuing it and doing so will be a waste of time.

Fortunately, there is an option in Valorant to surrender if you think the whole match is pointless and it is much better to queue for another one again.

If you think your team is trash, tilting or you yourself is not performing well, then you might consider surrendering.

How to Forfeit Match in Valorant

Take note that the surrender option is only available in both Unrated and Competitive matches. You can only initiate surrender after 5 rounds have passed.

Type /ff in the chat. This will prompt a surrender vote where majority of your team should yes to proceed.

Press F5 if you agree and F6 if not

If 2 members said no then it will fail and the game will continue.

If you prompt a surrender during an ongoing round, it will be queued and activate on the next round. Take note that you can only attempt surrender once every half.

If the majority of your teammate said yes then the surrender vote will be successful, the match will end and you will end up having a lost in your match history.

Personally, I am really hoping that you would rarely use this option, as it is better to finish the game despite losing. Even though you didn’t win, I assure you that you will learn something from it and will make you better next time you queue up for a match.
