How to Play Town Star – Beginner’s Guide

Town Star is a farming simulator from Gala Games where you will create a productive town, grow crops, create buildings, gather items, sell items to earn money, and earn corresponding points. The game is made on Gala’s own network which utilizes the Ethereum blockchain. Town Star can be played by anyone in their desktop browser.

You can earn real money from playing this game as long as you reach the top of the leaderboards. The rewards that you can get are GALA Tokens which have real value. As of writing, these tokens are equivalent to $0.083076. Gala tokens can also be used to buy NFTs within the game that can help your progress.

You don’t have to invest any money to start playing but you do need to remember that the game is very competitive. The only thing that you need to invest is time as you need to do tedious grinding to be one of the top players to be rewarded.

How to Start Playing Town Star

To begin your journey in Town Star, just go to Gala Games – Town Star and create an account. After that, press play, and you will be given a choice between two servers; Weekly Competition and Free Server.

If you want to just chill or strategize before you go competitive, I suggest going to the Free Server. There are no rewards there but it is a good start if you want to test out different ways on how you can get points fast so you will be ready once you go to the Weekly Competition Server.

If you think you’re ready and capable enough to go against hardcore farmers, I suggest going to the weekly server. This is where the weekly competition is held and you really need to give time to your farm if you want to be on top.

The game itself is like any other farming simulation game. After entering a server, you need to pick a location and name your town. There are three types of location that you can choose from and each of those has its own advantage and disadvantages. You can either choose from Plains, Desert, Forest.

Don’t worry if you made a mistake in choosing a location as you can choose again by destroying your current town by going back to the World View > Click your Town > and select Destroy Town.

The goal of the game is to grow crops and resources that you need to sell so you can earn points. After planting these crops, your farmers will water them for them to grow. You can also place your crops beside a pond or a river so it doesn’t have to be watered anymore.

After you’ve successfully grown your crops, you can now sell them by clicking your Trade Depot and after that choose a product to sell. There would be a corresponding gas fee and time of delivery for each trade that you do.

After you successfully sold your product, you will earn points and the amount that you earn will determine your rank in the weekly competition. If you manage to be one of the top players after the competition ends then you’ll get a certain amount of rewards.

Though it might sound easy, there are also a lot of factors to consider when playing this game such as identifying what items are the easiest to acquire or how many points you get when you sell them. You also need a lot of resources for you to complete your goals such as;

• Wood – You need this resource so you can create buildings
• Lumberjack – You need to hire this person for you to gather wood
• Storage Facilities (Wood Shed, Silo, Storehouse) – This is where you store your gathered crops and resources
• Wages – You need money or funds to pay your workers as they are paid every minute
• Gas – You need gas to deliver and sell crafts

Without those things mentioned above, you won’t be able to farm efficiently and or even sell your crops at all thus lowering your chances of winning the competition at all.

How to Earn Money on Town Star

The only way to get rewards is to compete on the weekly server of Town Star. The weekly competition starts every Tuesday 12 PM EST and ends on Sunday at 12 AM EST. The top 200 players who have the most points will be rewarded with GALA Tokens. Refer to the chart below as to how much these top players get every conclusion of the weekly competition. Take note that your progress in the weekly server will reset every time the weekly competition starts.

Not only that, but Gala Games has also revealed a new way on how you can earn in this game. Soon, players can earn TownCoin by playing the game. It will soon be unleashed as the official blockchain-backed play-to-earn reward token of Town Star. As per Gala Games, it will come into fruition as soon as possible so all we can do now is wait. But don’t worry, I will update this article once the token is released.
