Esmeralda Mobile Legends Build – Beginner’s Guide

Esmeralda is a Mage / Tank hero who has high durability and at the same time deals high physical and magical damage. She has a powerful mid-game and can really be a force to be reckoned with in the frontlines because of her high regeneration.

Disclaimer: I’m just a casual gamer and not a pro. I just want to share with you things that works very well for me when playing this hero.

Skills

Passive / Starmoon Casket: Esmeralda manipulates Stardust and Frostmoon. Each of her basic attack and skills deals damage trice. The former dealing physical damage and the latter dealing magic damage and gives the target a shield equal to 135% of Frostmoon’s damage dealt. The damage dealt by Esmeralda ignores all shield effects and transforms her shield into her HP at the same time.

Skill 1 / Frostmoon Shield: Esmeralda gains 500 shield and 40% movement speed which rapidly decays over 4 seconds. Meanwhile, she gradually transforms the shields of her nearby enemies into her own shield, capped at 50% of her max HP.

Skill 2 / Stardust Dance: Esmeralda waves Stardust and Frostmoon, dealing physical and magical damage to nearby enemies. Each time she deals damage to a hero, the cooldown of Frostmoon shield is reduced by 1% (while non-hero units grants 0.5s) and the enemy movement speed is reduced by 10% for 1.5 seconds.

Skill 3 / Falling Starmoon: Esmeralda charges the power of Astrospace into her two weapons – Stardust and Frostmoon. The longer the duration lasts, the greater the power will be. Use again and Esmeralda casts the Stardust to the designated location, dealing physical damage and then she moves to the designated location to cast Frostmoon, dealing magical damage and immobilizing enemies in the area for 1.2 seconds.

• Mastery – +1.5%/+3%/+5% CD Reduction
• Catastrophe –  +1.5%/+3%/+5% Magic Power
• Magic Worship – Reduce the gold cost of gears to 90%.

Spell for Esmeralda

• Retribution – Esmeralda is very item dependent so Retribution can help her farm faster
• Flicker – Additional mobility for Esmeralda
• Purify – Esmeralda can’t form or steal shield when she is immobilized so Purify is also a good option

Other Tips

• Any form of shield that Esmeralda gets will be converted to HP over time
• Always use 1st skill before her 2nd skill
• Using 1st skill near enemies will steal shield from them slowly
• You can also use 1st skill whenever it is available so you can move between lanes faster
• Always try to hit enemies with 2nd skill to reduce the cooldown of her 1st skill (This also affects monsters too)
• Pre-charge her Ultimate before teamfights so it can travel farther
• Esmeralda’s Ultimate is her only crowd control so make sure it hits
• You can also use Esmeralda’s Ultimate for escaping
• Esmeralda can easily burst down squishy opponents so make sure to prioritize targets
• Skill Combo: 1st Skill > 3rd Skill (Ultimate) > 2nd Skill > Basic Attack
