Cignal Ultra are Going to The MPL PH S6 Regular Season

The Main Qualifiers for the MPL PH Season 6 started today and we are treated to very competitive games. Six matches were played resulting in team Cignal Ultra qualifying to the MPL PH S6 Regular Season. 

Tomorrow, July 26, the other team who will also qualify in the regular season will be determined.

The qualifiers kicked off with a best-of-three match between Hakdog and Arkangel and ended with a well-fought best-of-three final between ArkAngel and the would-be champions Cignal Ultra.

Finals Match Recap

ArkAngel and Cignal Ultra already met in the Upper Bracket Finals where the latter took the match 2-1.

After defeating Sinag Pilipinas in the Lower Bracket Finals, ArkAngel catapulted themselves to the Finals to face their Semifinals tormentors.

Finals First Game

Lineup:

Cignal Ultra– Yu Zhong, Thamus, Lancelot, Luo Yi, Jawhead

ArkAngel – Popol and Kuppa, Atlas, Dyrroth, Chou, Chang’e

ArkAngel took an early lead getting 11 kills vs 3 in the 6-minute mark. They were able to continue this trend despite Cignal Ultra taking the turtle objectives.

Isonn’s Atlas who is continuously having good Fatal Links, Chang’e’s DPS, and Dyrroth’s burst damage have been the number 1 problem for Cignal Ultra in their search for a comeback.

There was an attempt for Cignal’s Hades (Lancelot) to steal the Lord in the late game, but they were unsuccessful thus giving game 1 to ArkAngel Esports.

Finals Second Game

Lineup:

Cignal Ultra – Yu Zhong, Esmeralda, Khufra, Valir, Karrie

ArkAngel – Atlas, Selena, Dyrroth, Masha, Lunox

ArkAngel’s Selena took first blood for ArkAngel, but it was a seesaw battle in the beginning as both teams were picking up kills in the early game.

Despite ArkAngel winning the team fights in the mid-game, Cignal Ultra’s objective gaming and the fact that Karrie is having a free farm prevents them from having a lead.

A Lord pick-up by Cignal Ultra at the 11-minute mark is what they only need to push and eventually win the match forcing a game 3.

Decider Match

Lineup:

Cignal Ultra – Pharsa, Thamus, Jawhead, Natalia, Claude

Arkangel – Khufra, Selena, Yu Zhong, Lance, Selena

Cignal had a good early game and their Claude caused problems for ArkAngel as they take an 11-5 lead at the 8-minute mark.

A clash at the 11-minute mark wiping out ArkAngel gives Cignal a chance to get the Lord and finish the game.

Cignal completes the comeback and catapulted themselves to the MPL PH Season 6 Regular Season.
