Blacklist International has successfully defended the crown after defeating Onic PH 4-1, in the Grand Finals of the Mobile Legends:Bang Bang Professional League Philippines last Sunday, October 24, 2020. Hadji was named the MVP of the MPL PH S8 Finals.
Despite being number one in the regular season, it wasn’t an easy task for the agents as they’ve clawed their way up in the lower Bracket after being defeated by rivals Smart Omega in their upper bracket match in the 2nd round.
After being relegated to the lower bracket, they’ve bounced back and swept NXPE to catapult themselves in the lower bracket finals with the help of the returning Kiel “Oheb” Soriano. Blacklist International capitalized on their momentum and exacted revenge on their Upper Bracket tormentors, defeating Smart Omega, 3-1, and setting up the title clash with Onic PH.
Grand Finals
After Blacklist International won the opening map, Onic PH knotted the match to tie and heat things up. Veenus alongside his teammates proved to be too much for Onic PH to handle as they’ve won the remaining 3 games and claimed the title.
They will take home the $35,000 Grand Prize and at the same time represent the Philippines in the M3 World Championships alongside runner-ups Onic PH.
