MPLI Grand Finals Recap
Game 1:
Bren started aggressive with their picking after picking the new hero Benedetta and Pheww’s Pharsa. But Alter ego responded with picking heroes with heavy damage output with Brody, Lunox and Harith.
Alter Ego was able to get an early advantage, getting 5-2 a lead in terms of kill and getting a turtle.
Despite Bren being aggresive, Alter Ego was able to counter the former’s aggressions and never gave them the chance to pursue their objectives.
Alter Ego continued to snowball and the combination of Harith and Lunox’s high damage output never gave Bren Esports a chance to comeback, giving AE game number 1 in just 12 minutes.
Game 2:
Alter Ego wanted to continue their flawless tournament by once again picking Brody. Bren responded and picked Hilda, Lapu-Lapu and was able to hand KarlTzy his Claude.
It was the same story for game 2 as Alter Ego was able to dictate the phase in the early stages, taking first blood in the expense of Claude and getting the turtle pick up again.
Despite Bren Esports taking some kills, their carry KarlTzy has never been a threat and is limited to a 1/5/2 KDA with his Claude. Alter Ego is also quick enough to retaliate against Bren’s attempts for a counter play with AE’s Jawhead leading the way with his awesome ejectors.
Alter Ego continued their aggression and never gave Bren Esports a chance for fight back despite showing some glimpse of brilliance, quickly giving the former game 2 and championship point.
Game 3:
Bren Esports started their quest for a reverse sweep by securing Lunox and Roger. They went up against Alter Ego’s unconventional picking with Claude, Wanwan and Benedetta in the line up.
Both teams started off aggressively, having a 5-5 score in terms of kills in the 3 minute mark. This was good news for Bren as this is the first time that they were able to go toe-to-toe with Alter Ego’s phasing.
The deadlock was broken when Alter Ego were able to get a Roger kill in the 5 minute mark and started to set the tempo of the game.
Bren showed glimpse of brilliance in the game 3, closing the gap in terms of kills and in the 9 minute mark and KarlTzy (Roger) getting a solo kill against Celiboy (Claude). But Alter Ego was able to secure the Lord in the 11 minute mark and was able to take two inhibitor turrets.
Despite Bren Esports delaying the inevitable, Alter Ego was able to secure game 3 and the championship in the 14th minute mark behind a well fed Claude, Wanwan and Pharsa.
They have completed a perfect season without having to drop any single game in the whole tournament.
