Selena Mobile Legends Build – Beginner’s Guide

Selena is a Mage / Assassin hero who deals high magic damage and can burst down squishy heroes with one combo. Her long range stun and 1st skill makes her a good map and crowd controller which is very crucial in winning games. She is quite difficult to use and requires practice to master.

Disclaimer: I’m just a casual gamer and not a pro. I just want to share with you things that works very well for me when playing this hero.

Skills

Passive / Symbiosis: Selena can switch between her two forms:

Elven Form: Selena applies Abyssal Mark with her skills and it can stack up to two times. When Abyssal Trap hits an enemy, it will immediately add a mark.

Abyssal Form: All damage will consume 1 stack of Abyssal Mark to deal extra magic damage.

Skill 1 / Abyssal Trap (Elven Form): Selena places an Abyssal Devil in a designated location. The Abyssal Devil smothers a nearby enemy with its body and its movement speed is reduced several seconds. After some time, this skill deals damage to the target and slows them for several seconds. She can summon up to 3 Abyssal Devils and its damage will decay when a target takes damage from multiple devils at the same time.

Skill 1 / Soul Eater (Abyssal Form): Selena’s next basic attack deals additional damage and grants a shield that absorbs damage.

Skill 2 / Abyssal Arrow (Elven Form): Selena fires magic arrows in a straight direction and enemies hit are stunned for several seconds and take damage. Its duration and damage increases the further the arrows fly. If it hits an Abyssal Trap as it travels, its effect will be inflicted to the target upon hit.

Skill 2 / Garotte (Abyssal Form): Selena charges in a specified direction, dealing damage to enemies along the way. If it hits an enemy with an Abyssal Mark, its cooldown will reset immediately.

Skill 3 / Primal Darkness (Elven Form): Selena enters Abyssal Form and gains movement speed for a short time.

Skill 3 / Blessing of the Moon God (Abyssal Form): Selena goes back into Elven Form and gains movement speed for a short time.

Skill Upgrade Priority

1ST SKILL > 2ND SKILL > 3RD SKILL (ULTIMATE)

Best Item Builds for Selena

Demon Shoes, Clock of Destiny, Calamity Reaper. Lightning Truncheon, Holy Crystal, Winter Truncheon

You can always substitute Star Shard, Necklace of Durance or Divine Glaive if needed

Mage

• Agility – +2% Movement SPD/Level
• Observation – +2 Magical PEN/Level
• Impure Rage – Damaging enemies with skills will deal an extra damage equal to 4% of the target’s current HP as magic damage, and restore 3% of your Mana. This effect has 5 second cooldown.

Spell for Selena

• Flicker – Probably the best spell for Selena and good for multiple situations
• Execute – Selena can burst down enemies with 1 good combo and executes further helps her with that
• Retribution – Use this spell if you decided to play Selena as a jungler

Other Tips

• Switch forms frequently while travelling for additional Movement Speed
• Selena is a good ganker and you should utilize that
• She is also a good early game hero so try to move around the map and bully enemies in the early stages of the game
• Use Selena’s 1st Skill (Elven form) as a trap to have good map control and vision
• It is much better if you use Selena’s 2nd Skill (Elven form) in a long distance for a longer stun duration
• Hide in the bush or in a place where enemy can’t see you before using 2nd Skill
• Combine 1st Skill (Elven form) with her 2nd Skill (Elven form) for maximum damage
• You can use Selena’s 2nd Skill (Abyssal Form) for escaping
• Skill Combo (Elven Form): 2nd Skill > 1st Skill > 3rd Skill (Abyssal Form) > 1st Skill > 2nd Skill
